What This Service Is

Before you file an appeal or a written statement in a consumer complaint, we check it thoroughly. This makes sure every reason for your challenge is correct. We verify that all facts you state are backed up by records. We also ensure your prayer clause — the part of your appeal that asks the court for specific relief — covers everything you can possibly get at the appeal stage. It's much harder to fix mistakes in an appeal once it's filed than during the original case. Such errors can even stop you from making a strong legal argument forever.

What the Service Entails

Checking an appeal letter means more than just making sure it's internally correct. We also check if each point you challenge fits the standard of review — the legal rules an appeals body uses to decide a case. An appeals body will usually dismiss your argument if it's outside its powers, meaning you permanently lose that argument. India Property Law reviews your draft appeal against the order you are challenging and the records from the lower court. We check each point you raise for specific details, making sure it's based on the existing records. We also confirm it matches the correct standard of review. For example, a first appeal deals with both facts and law. A second appeal to the High Court needs a substantial question of law — an important, undecided legal point. Appeals to the NCLAT, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, have their own specific limits on what they can review. We confirm you have met the limitation period — the deadline for filing your appeal. We also check that your prayer clause is complete for the appeal stage. You'll first receive a Preliminary Vetting Report from us. After we discuss our findings with you, we'll give you a Final Vetting Report with our suggested changes marked in red.
